About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic leader with the prime responsibility for providing exceptional delivery to our customers, drive strong customer satisfaction and relationships and consequent sustained growth of the Technology, Consulting & Innovation division and wider E&EI Business.
As an Amentum leader, you will be an inspiration to our talent, champion inclusion and belonging, lead a culture of innovation and attract, grow and retain a workforce where together we deliver extraordinary solutions.
The division is a c.$150m revenue specialist consultancy business that provides technology, scientific, engineering, R&D and regulatory services to multiple markets including civil & defence nuclear, critical national infrastructure, space and “big science”. The division operates Amentum’s commercial R&D laboratory and engineering test facilities at Birchwood UK and leads on the growth in new markets including robotics, advanced reactor technologies and fusion energy.
Going forward the division will also lead the co-ordination and progress of Advanced Technologies, Digital Development & Innovation across E&EI to deliver the E&EI strategy and Amentum CTO objectives, including our approach to investing in funded Research and Development.
The team of c.750 people is located predominantly at Birchwood, UK with teams across the UK and on client sites.
In addition to significant growth of the core business the strategic plan for the division is to expand into new geographies and incubate new business lines.
The role requires the following capability/experience:
* Business leader with excellent safety, quality, people & business acumen skills
* Experience of growing a successful P&L business with a track record of setting strategy and driving strong growth through exceptional customer delivery and satisfaction
* Credibility within the sector with strong network (externally and internally) or ability to quickly develop that credibility and network
* Strong collaborative leader who does what is right for the broader business
* Strong people leadership to drive our Inclusion & Belonging agenda
* You will motivate, inspire and hold yourself and your team to account, make considered investment decisions, proactively manage working capital and responsibly control cost. You will have a balanced approach to risk management and apply disciplined solution delivery to achieve broader business goals.

This role will be UK based and will require the successful candidate to be in the Northwest area of England 3+ days per week. Relocation support will be provided, where required.
