Your Role and Responsibilities As a Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll work closely with clients, project teams, and senior management to drive the success of every project under your care. Key Responsibilities: Oversee multiple commercial projects valued at up to £5m, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion. Manage all aspects of project planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management. Lead and mentor project teams, including Site Managers, supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment across all sites. Monitor project performance, including budgets, timelines, and quality standards, taking proactive measures to address any challenges. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded. Provide clear and comprehensive reporting to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities. Champion continuous improvement, implementing innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and team performance. We’re seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager who can bring a wealth of knowledge, leadership skills, and enthusiasm to the role. To succeed, you’ll need: Proven experience as a Project or Contracts Manager within the commercial construction sector. A strong track record of delivering projects in the £1m - £5m range, ideally in the commercial space. Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and contract management principles. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card preferred), and First Aid. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
