About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer and Assessor to deliver apprenticeship programs through group and individual sessions at apprentices' workplaces, training centers, or remotely via MS Teams.
As a Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for all aspects of training, assessment, and adherence to Quality Assurance and regulatory standards, using OneFile e-portfolio for planning, assessments, and feedback.
You will support and motivate a caseload of around 18 learners, integrating key topics such as safeguarding, British values, and EDI into your sessions.
Key responsibilities include managing communication with learners and their line managers, ensuring progress, and implementing action plans as needed.
This role involves delivering the Residential Childcare Apprenticeships at Level 4 and Level 5, which include the Level 3 and Level 5 NCFE/CACHE Diplomas.
Requirements
* Residential/social childcare qualification and/or significant professional experience in a senior residential childcare role
* Thorough knowledge of current children's home legislation in England
* A level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in both English and Maths
* Excellent IT and organisational skills
* Ability to travel around the county to meet the demands of this role
* Willingness to complete teaching and assessing qualifications during the first 6 months of employment
