Desktop Support Engineer: Belfast - £15 per hour Mileage Role Summary REED Technology Belfast are delighted to be partnering a local IT Support organisation, providing a Temporary Desktop Support Engineer for a project based in Belfast. Working as part of an IT Support team, responsible for the installation and support of IT equipment to a large private sector organisation, this role will report to the IT Manager and will involve Responsibilities: First point of contact for Customers Provide 1st Line diagnosis and resolution Maintain a high level of 1st time fix rates Logging incidents and service requests from customers received via telephone, email and customer portal and process accordingly To provide an excellent level of customer service and value to end users Escalation of tickets to resolver groups when required Ensure customers are kept updated on progress of tickets Prioritisation and management of workload and tasks, working within contractual Service Level Agreements Work in accordance to company policies, procedures and standards Maintain awareness of current appropriate technologies used by customers Update and share knowledge gained Essential Criteria: Excellent knowledge of Windows 10/11 Ability to audit PCs and to install software on the replacements Good troubleshooting skills of above software Ability to work unsupervised Good manner with customers (GP Practice managers) Ability to drive with own vehicle and appropriate insurance Desirable Criteria • Desktop/network support/ installation experience Relevant security clearance, AccessNI will be required for the successful candidates. Hourly rate: £15 per hour
