To be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPI’s set by the customer including, but not limited to response, repair, first fix, and closure.
2. To ensure all planned, reactive and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer is carried out in accordance with contractual obligations as set out in the City FM Bookcase.
3. To complete the PPM works within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.
4. To respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call. For avoidance of doubt out of hours will be referred to the specialist in the first instance.
5. To identify non-repairable faults in equipment and propose corrective course of action.
6. To order parts where required in line with Company Procedures, ensure prompt fitment on delivery and chase outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days.
7. To fully complete all paperwork required by the Company to measure performance of service and undertake surveys as requested.
8. To meet and communicate regularly with the Duty Manager on every store visit to advise all repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
9. To ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
10. Carry out required Fire PPM visits to BS5839.
11. To ensure Fire alarm systems are in compliance with BS 5839 and report defects as necessary.
12. To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures.
13. To be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
14. To notify the company helpdesk of procedural task condition on cessation of works.
15. To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the supervisor / technical specialist.
16. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
17. To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
18. To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
19. Ensure all mandatory Evolve on-line training modules are completed.
20. To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
21. To work with company and ASDA colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
22. To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop good working relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
23. To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. GCSE standard.
2. Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).
3. PC literate.
4. Ability to maintain and repair a range of Fire, CCTV products and specific EAS systems (Sensormatic).
5. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
6. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
7. Helpful/friendly manner.
8. Self-motivated.
9. Ability to work at heights.
10. IPAF licence holder.
11. Competent in the use of steps and ladders.
12. Current driving licence.
13. Ability to distinguish colours to the standard required for maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic equipment and appliances.
14. Willingness to work flexible hours.
