Year 4 Teaching Assistant (ASC Support) – Blackpool South Shore Start Date: After February Half Term Location: Blackpool, South Shore Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time, long-term Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a welcoming primary school in Blackpool South Shore. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's learning journey and development. Role & Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 support to a child with ASC, assisting with academic tasks and social development Implementing strategies to support engagement, communication, and sensory needs Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment Managing and de-escalating behaviours in a supportive manner Requirements: Experience working with children with ASC or SEN (preferred but not essential) A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
