Purpose of Role:
As Content Specialist, you will work as part of the Minerals Division Global Marketing team. You will be responsible for creating, driving and optimising content on Weir’s external channels and support Division campaigns. You will communicate and cooperate with Brand Managers, Regional Marketing and Corporate Communications teams and your work will influence key stakeholders, customers and internal teams. This position requires an organised mind with creative thinking and strong writing skills. You will consider strategy and customer impacts with a data-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation:
2. Develop and nurture external content (written, audio, visual) for use on external Weir channels, including global.weir and LinkedIn, from interviews with Weir leaders and experts
3. Campaign Support:
4. Work with global and local communications teams to ensure Weir is well-represented at customer-facing events, webinars or panels, developing guidelines and processes for optimal promotion opportunities and help Weir attendees (communications, sales, leadership) get the most out of the events.
5. Manage paid media placement to support global campaigns.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

6. Communications, content or campaign development expertise, ideally in customer-facing or external events environments - essential
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines - essential
8. Excellent communications skills, including planning, writing, editing, and proofreading. Ability to craft copy incorporating company messages in a genuine way - essential
9. Video-editing skills
