The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator Facility Maintenance to join our team. This role is crucial in coordinating the maintenance of Council buildings, ensuring statutory compliance and well-maintained facilities. The successful candidate will focus on tenders, contract administration, and contractor safety.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Coordinator Facility Maintenance will include but are not limited to:
* Tenders and Contract Administration:
* Develop, review, and coordinate the City's facilities, scheduled maintenance contracts.
* Use effective contract administration methods to ensure maintenance occurs to schedule within approved budgets.
* Oversee contractors engaged in specific facility maintenance works.
* Maintain and revise records, and works information systems, including building asset registers.
* Contractor Safety:
* Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement National Standards for construction work, legislative requirements, and occupational health and safety policies and practices.
* Promote and enforce safe working practices among contractors and subcontractors.
* Monitor and review contractor safety performance and compliance with safety regulations.
* Budget Development:
* Develop, review, and coordinate the City Buildings annual maintenance budgets.
* Monitor and report on expenditure to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
* Review and monitor building maintenance costs compared to the approved budget allocation.
* Verify accounts for payment and prepare necessary financial reports in accordance with procedures.
About You

* Tertiary qualification in Construction or a Facilities Management-related discipline.
* Builder Registration Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
* Demonstrated ability in facility management contract administration and supervisory skills.
* Sound negotiation skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Knowledge of building and facility management principles and practices.
* Experience in preparing cost estimates for works and managing building maintenance budgets.
* Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles and related systems.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 9 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $123,589 - $130,096 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have the ability to obtain a:
* A copy of Australian driving licence
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
* The right to work in Australia
