1 hour per week This role operates on an annualised hours contract. The hours will need to be worked flexibly to meet service needs. You may be required to work additional hours.
Your role:
As a member of the Events Team, you will work under the direction of the Event Manager facilitating the smooth running of events across the Wigan Borough working within our leisure centres, parks & open spaces and our culture and heritage sites.
You will have the passion, drive and ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring that you always deliver a high level of professional customer service.
The role operates in an extremely active and busy setting to meet the many needs of the customers and eventgoers.
About you:
The ideal person for this role needs to be able to plan, work and manage their time efficiently and effectively demonstrating accurate and concise work. You must have good organisational, verbal and written communication skills and use your own initiative and work flexibly as part of a team.
You will have great customer service skills to deal with a range of people and will always promote a professional image, which is representative of the service. You will be a person who is passionate about events and the role and dedicated to providing the best service possible to customers, staff and visitors to the leisure centre and other event locations. You will regularly have to move heavy items up to 20kg as well as standing and walking for long periods on every shift.
