PMO Manager role is based in London and covers the UK and overseas operations, serving multiple countries. You will focus on building a consistent approach, implement project management methodologies, process and best practices to managing global projects.
What you'll be doing:
• Develop and implement PMO processes, frameworks, and governance structures to support renewable energy projects.
• Provide project oversight, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain project reporting systems to track progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and senior management to drive project success and to ensure timelines, budgets, and scope are in line with expectations.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
•Develop and maintain risk management processes, including mitigation strategies.
•Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, conducting project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned across multiple countries
•Facilitate resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
•Coordinate project documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
•Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
•Develop and provide training for project managers and team members on best practices and tools.
•Introduce innovative tools and practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.
•Develop and enforce project management standards, tools, and templates.
•Oversee the overall project portfolio, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
What experience you'll bring:
* 7+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or related roles within the renewables, construction, or energy sector.
* Strong understanding of project governance, methodologies, and best practices.
* Experience in client-side project management and oversight.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
* Knowledge of UK and Local regulatory frameworks and renewable energy industry standards.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Preferred qualifications:
* Degree or relevant experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification.
* Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects.
