We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the team in St. Helens, the hours are 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. As Financial Accountant you will help to deliver monthly, quarterly, group and statutory reporting for all UK businesses. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be proactive and hands on ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger and helping with the delivery of month end, budgets, cashflow forecasts, audits and statutory accounts & tax reporting. Here are some of the key elements of the role: Month end tasks including but not limited to, preparation of accruals and prepayments, issuing exchange rates, revaluation reports, stock reports, opening and closing of ledgers, journal postings Regular financial reports (including actual, forecast and budget), highlighting key metrics and trends Maintaining Fixed Asset Register, including operating leases, additions, disposal, depreciation run and fixed asset validation checks (SOX) Liaise with the group and other departments to provide financial insights Responsibility for the small UK subsidiary companies’ annual budget, revised budget and Q4 forecasts preparation and submission within strict deadlines Assisting with the main UK company budget process and the production of cash flow forecasts and reporting Comply with risk and control matrices and internal controls SOX compliance and reporting Play an active role in both external and internal audits to achieve successful outcomes and deliver continuous improvement Propose & implement solutions to any identified risks Regularly review the Finance policies and procedures, ensuring legal and corporate compliance.
