Business Development Manager (287lw) – Telecommunications – Remote OR hybrid (Gloucester) - £50,000k + Car + Commission

Our client is seeking a BDM within a fast-paced Sales environment, to identify new business opportunities. The BDM will form an important & integral part of an expanding business.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and quantify business sectors for broadband, utilities, government/defence along with direct and indirect sell including system integrators.
Search potential market areas for telecom opportunities.
Quantify network operator projects.
Close sales orders from Telecom network operators
Develop & build new customer relationships & manage expectations thereafter
Identify new business markets, clients, partnerships, products & services & maintaining existing ones.
Present telecommunication solutions to potential users.
Proactively present company value proposition.
Attend industry events & conferences to network & promote products & the business.
Creating sales forecasts & actively work towards reaching them and presenting sales information to the Senior Management Team.
Active participation in completion of Tender applications received into the business.
Deliver in person & online Sales presentations with prospective & existing customers.
Work alongside engineering team to find resolutions and solutions for all new and existing customers.
Experience/Expectations
Create a BaU run-rate revenue of £1,000,000 pa year two.
Technical skills to understand and propose products & solutions by focusing on the client’s requirements.
Possess a strong understanding of the company’s products & competition in the industry.
Research & stay up to date with Telecoms industry standards, trends & Insights.
This role can be operated remotely once initial on-site training has been fulfilled, then visits to the Gloucester office will be approximately once or twice a month.
Desirable
Management Experience/ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Business management or Business Administration/ Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Business: Sales & Marketing, Level 3 award in Sales Management.
5+ years of proven experience of working in the Telecoms sector.
