Currently looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for a new build commercial project in Basingstoke.
The Mechanical Project Manager will be running the ductwork installation within a new building commercial project.
Role Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects, focusing on HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping installations. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, project management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage mechanical projects from conception to completion, ensuring on–time and on–budget delivery.
2. Coordinate and supervise the installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping.
3. Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
4. Lead and coordinate with on–site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
5. Ensure compliance with mechanical, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure project quality standards.
7. Prepare progress reports, manage client relationships, and address any project issues.
8. Oversee procurement of materials and ensure availability for project timelines.
Key Requirements
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience in managing mechanical projects, particularly HVAC, piping, and ductwork.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design, and installation practices.
4. Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in scheduling and budgeting tools.
5. Strong leadership and communication abilities.
This is a Monday to Friday role, with some overtime available. The project will run for 8 months with continuing work available afterwards.
