We are seeking an experienced Team Leader for a ADOS/ADIR (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule/Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) team in Exeter. In this role, you will lead a team of specialists dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorders. You will ensure the effective and compassionate delivery of services while supporting team members’ development and driving service improvements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Leading and managing a team of ADOS/ADIR professionals, including psychologists, therapists, and other diagnostic staff.
* Providing supervision, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Overseeing scheduling, caseload management, and workflow to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
* Ensuring assessments and diagnoses meet the highest standards and adhere to relevant guidelines and protocols.
* Conducting assessments using ADOS and ADIR where needed, applying expertise to ensure accurate and comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
* Reviewing and quality-checking reports for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
* Supporting the ongoing training and professional development of team members in ADOS/ADIR and related assessment tools.
* Work closely with other departments, including clinical, administrative, and support teams, to ensure seamless service coordination and continuity of care.
Requirements:
* Professional qualification in psychology, psychiatry, or a related field.
* Extensive experience with ADOS and ADIR assessments, preferably within a clinical or diagnostic setting.
* Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage, motivate, and support a team effectively.
* Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and associated diagnostic criteria.
* Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Familiarity with other diagnostic tools and methodologies in autism assessment.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
* A compassionate, patient-centred approach with a commitment to providing supportive, high-quality care.
