My client is an exciting wholesale and retail company in a fast growing FMCG sector.
One of their Account Managers is leaving to go travelling the world - thanks to earning a good salary and brilliant bonuses. So there is a very successful group of clients that needs you as their Account Manager and you will also take full ownership for managing a significant pipeline of new business opportunities.
If you are an Account Manager or Field Sales Manager with a proven track record of building relationships with retail customers this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.
Please note this is an office based role with only occasional visits to clients. The first 3 months are office based and then it's 2 days work from home.
What is the role?
1. Management of a portfolio of UK accounts which include Wholesalers, Shops and E-commerce sites.
2. Initially a new business focused role, liaising with buyers and distributors to identify strategic opportunities and growth into new customers and retail space.
3. Be a self-motivator and sales driven with the ambition to bring in new business opportunities across the UK.
4. Ensure there is a clear pipeline of prospective customers by defining the sales pipeline for the business including meeting monthly and annual revenue targets.
5. Promote the full range of brands while representing the company in a positive and professional manner at all times, regularly reporting back findings to improve the company's performance/increase knowledge sharing within the team.
6. Be accountable for the sales performance by having the desire to meet and exceed sales targets.
7. Maintain high standards of exceptional customer service to new and existing customers.
8. Offer bespoke services to a varied account base by adapting approaches to customers.
9. Embrace the industry to promote the product and premium brand on offer, demonstrating the benefits for retailers to stock products.
10. Generating sales leads through prospecting retailers and distributors.
What will you bring to the role?
1. Proven sales experience in delivering success in fast changing dynamic FMCG market.
2. Channel experience (desirable).
3. Previous experience of working in a trading/selling environment.
4. Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
5. Ability to relate to all levels of consumers through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proven entrepreneurial approach delivering success in fast changing dynamic markets.
7. Demonstrable successful negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
