We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Basketball Coach to join our outstandingcoaching team. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring student athletes Years 7 to13, delivering engaging and creative sessions that develop and engage our studentschallenging them to become their best on and off court.
You will be a part of a larger PE andHealth and Well Being Faculty working closely with forward-thinking, collaborative andsupportive colleagues who are motivated to promote student success. The faculty work hardas a team but also have a great sense of humour and achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Our bespoke and fully integrated Basketball Academy programme offers a unique opportunity to coach from junior to senior academy players both boys and girls – offering small group peri sessions, team training, strength & conditioning and mentoring sessions to over 120 students. The programme is fully funded and has become an integral part of Holy Trinity life – you would join our two other full-time coaches, have access to multiple indoor training areas (including a small S&C gym), work with teams entered in all local and national competitions and have access to bespoke IT and software to help support player development. This is more than just a place to coach—it’s a space to grow and thrive professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Coaching sessions to students in Years 7-13, adhering to the expectations set out in the HTS Basketball Ethos.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
• Monitor student’s academic progress and self-development then liaise with teaching staff and pastoral team to support student athletes who are underperforming
• Track achievements, behaviour, attendance for all KS4 and academy players. Review player contracts and report cards
• Delivery of Peri sessions throughout the school day
• Team coaching and Fixtures (to be assigned by the Head Coach)
• Delivery of specified After School and Break Time Training sessions to be allocated by Head Coach
• Any admin required by the Leader of Learning or Head Coach in support of the Basketball programme (for example timetabling peris, registering players, arranging fixtures, completing EVOLVE paperwork)
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Must hold Level 2 Basketball Coaching Award
• Strong subject knowledge of coaching boys and girls from junior to senior ages
• A passion for coaching, with a commitment to student athlete progress and achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Christian ethos and values.
