This key role within Bupa UK IT will be responsible for shaping best in breed Identity solutions that deliver measurable benefit to Bupa and ultimately our 32 million members worldwide.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
We are seeking a skilled Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of our Customer Identity and Access Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of identity and access management principles, strong technical expertise, and the ability to create robust CIAM strategies aligned with business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and seamless customer experiences across our platforms.
* Develop and lead the implementation of CIAM strategies, frameworks, and solutions to manage customer identities and access securely.
* Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of CIAM systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including business, security, and IT teams, to understand requirements and translate them into effective CIAM solutions.
* Define and implement authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management processes for customers accessing various digital services.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in CIAM and recommend solutions to enhance the overall security posture and user experience.
* Lead the integration of CIAM solutions with existing applications, third-party systems, and APIs.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement security best practices to safeguard customer data and privacy.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* Proven experience working as a CIAM Architect or in a similar role focused on identity and access management.
* Strong understanding of identity concepts (FIDO, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect), authentication methods, and identity governance principles.
* Experience with CIAM platforms and tools such as ForgeRock, Microsoft Entra or similar solutions.
* Proficiency in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance CIAM architectures.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Industry certifications such as CIAM, CISSP, or related certifications are a plus.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and their identity services.
* Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) related to customer data privacy.
* Experience in working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
