Premier Foods is a business with strong momentum and ambitious plans to accelerate within the UK and Internationally.
* Our acquisition of the FUEL10K brand just over a year ago - alongside our unique Ambrosia ready-to-eat porridge product - have together super-charged our presence in Breakfast. Premier Foods is now one of the fastest growing players in this category with tonnes more potential.
* We are seeking a talented individual to take up the Brand Director role within the Breakfast Team, taking responsibility for holistic growth strategy and in market delivery across our FUEL10K and Ambrosia brands.
* The role will span all current & future entry points into Breakfast category across those brands (Cereals, Drinks, Porridge, Breakfast-to-Go, other new products & formats). It is a unique opportunity to take ownership for Premier's newest brand (FUEL10K) on the next stage of its growth journey, while maximising the potential of our iconic Ambrosia brand in this space.
* Marketing roles at Premier Foods sit at the heart of the growth agenda for the business - taking responsibility for overall brand growth strategy, driving core ranges forward, landing and successfully sustaining NPD, developing and launching EPD, representing our brands and growth agenda with external stakeholders, as well as being the guardian of what the consumer sees from our brands across touchpoints.
* Premier's lean organisation structure creates a culture of personal ownership and direct responsibility for results. Brand Directors are members of the company's Senior Leadership Team. They have full responsibility for P&L alongside in-market metrics. They enjoy frequent exposure to our Exec Team via the monthly business cycle, strategic reviews and other settings.
* This role offers a stretching and potentially rewarding entry point into Marketing at Premier Foods. Success could open up multiple avenues for future personal growth & development, in different senior leadership positions.
What we need from you.....
* Previous senior leadership experience and results track record - or someone with demonstrable results and potential to step up to this level - within an FMCG or similar organisation.
* Strong holistic brand management experience, leading strategy through to market execution with full P&L ownership.
* Strong bias for action, a high degree of personal accountability and an entrepreneurial spirit.
* Commercially sharp and capable of flexing from big picture vision down to the detail, to make things happen.
* Data-driven with strong commercial and analytical skills; comfortable digging under the surface to uncover insights, reach logical conclusions and recommend actions back to the business in a compelling way.
* An individual who has a track record of getting the best out others with an energising, collaborative and inclusive style.
You will...
* Be accountable for P&L, market share and consumer health metrics across our Breakfast business.
* Take ownership for growth strategy and winning plans that maximise consumer trial & retailer support for our brands.
* Be the overall FUEL10K "brand expert" and champion, ensuring the brand shows up brilliantly in all touchpoints.
* Lead the thinking and executing of communication plans on FUEL10K and Ambrosia Porridge.
* Ensure our plans are commercially sharp and fully fit to win in a challenging competitive environment.
* Work closely with retailer teams to build and execute strong activation plans for FUEL10K and Ambrosia in Breakfast.
* Land our big bet NPDs to market successfully to deliver sustained ongoing business growth.
* Design and land key line extensions & renovation projects (EPDs) across our Breakfast product ranges.
* Lead brand performance diagnostics, analysing data to reach conclusions and recommend actions to drive the business.
* Lead management reviews within the monthly business cycle and annual planning process.
* Represent your brand externally in a credible and energising way that builds belief and helps win the "50/50 calls".
* Form strong relationships cross-functionally to enable delivery of your ambitious growth plans - in particular with Sales, Commercial Planning, Innovation, Insights, Customer Marketing, Category Management, Finance and R&D.
* You'll have a direct team including a Senior Brand Manager and an Assistant Brand Manager. Alongside a strong dotted relationship to the Innovation team for Breakfast & New Categories.
* You'll be the senior leader within the cross-functional Breakfast team, therefore a key influence and role model in shaping a high performing, supportive and entrepreneurial culture within this part of the business.
* You'll partner closely with a wider cross-functional Senior Leadership peer group spanning Sales, Finance, Customer Marketing, Category Management, R&D and Operations.
