Engineering Manager
Location: Portsmouth, UK
Contract Type: 6-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role
Salary: £50,000
An engineering service business is seeking an Engineering Manager / Service Operations Manager / Engineering Operations Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will manage a team of 16+, including service engineers, service coordinators, and a service manager.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing teams within a similar environment.
Package:
* £50,000 +
* 6-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role

Responsibilities:
* Provide effective and unified leadership for the Service departments and their respective functions.
* Ensure team deadlines are met and communicate any issues to stakeholders, including solutions put in place.
* Manage a team of 16+, including 10x Service Engineers, 5x Service Coordinators, and 1 Service Manager.
* Liaise with various engineering departments.
* Report directly to the Operations Director.
* Transition to a permanent role if the 6-month temporary contract is successful.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Service Operations Manager, Engineering Operations Manager, or similar within Engineering.
* Experience in a similar managerial role in Engineering, preferably within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* A technical electrical/mechanical engineering qualification (Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, degree) would be advantageous.
* Must be commutable to the site near Portsmouth.
