The Role As the Commercial Assistant, you will support the management of client and subcontractor contracts. The ideal candidate will assist with contract reviews, negotiations, and payment processes while ensuring compliance and effective communication with clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Assistant: Contract Management: Review client contracts and negotiate terms until agreements are ready for signature. Draft correspondence to clients for extensions of time or revised programs in cases of contract overruns. Negotiations: Handle variations to contracts, including negotiating additional sums for extra works or scope changes with clients. Dispute Resolution: Provide support to project managers during dispute resolution processes. Subcontractor Payments: Review subcontractor applications for payment and confirm amounts payable based on evidence of completed work. Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding of contract terms and commercial principles. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply contractual obligations. Experience in managing contract variations and dispute resolution. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
