New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 650 people across two sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and which is owned by 22,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

Title: Senior IT Support Analyst
Reports to: Grimsby IT Manager
Location: Grimsby
Salary: Up to £40k depending on experience
Shift pattern: Mon – Fri 8-5 (Some out of hours work will be required)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Accountabilities:
* Liaise with business users to understand, troubleshoot and resolve IT related incidents and requests, ranging from simple access requests to more complex incidents.
* Proactively seek ways to improve IT Support processes and make recommendations to the IT Management Team.
* Ensure day-to-day IT operational checks are fulfilled, such as system back up checks, application availability etc. and address failures, where required.
* Communicate information across teams about known errors and workarounds relating to incidents and problems.
* Proactively engage with third party suppliers to ensure the timely resolution of any incidents and requests relating to their services.
* Produce high standard of documentation, such as user guides and technical procedures.
* Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead on a variety of IT tasks and projects, such as maintaining inventories, hardware and software provisioning, IAM, and video conferencing.
* Undertake and lead on other ad hoc tasks or projects as they arise.
* After-hours work will occasionally be expected to handle urgent issues as well as system upgrades and installations.
Required Skills:
* Have proven experience in a similar role.
* Be technically competent with good all-round knowledge of Windows 11, Azure Entra, Windows Server, Office 365, Teams, Exchange, Hyper-V and printing technologies.
* Advantageous but not essential to have some exposure to any of the following applications: Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Marel Innova, K2.
* Have experience undertaking backups and restores.
* Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and be able to produce documentation (user guides, technical support docs) to a high standard.
* Be self-motivated and a team player, able to act on own initiative and contribute to team objectives.
* Be able to own complex service requests, incidents and problems through to resolution.
* Provide excellent hardware and application support to business customers.
* Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to effectively prioritise own workload.
* Possess strong analytical / problem-solving skills and have good attention to detail.
* Be eager to learn and enhance own abilities and develop technical skills.
* Be comfortable communicating across all levels of the organisation and able to translate technical resolutions to employees.
* The position will involve working in the production facilities and may involve lifting heavy IT equipment.
