Job Description
Key Responsibilities include:
* Taking a continuous improvement approach identifying opportunities to improve current processes
* Working with the Head of Finance to set chargeable targets for fee earners
* Providing data and insight to support key decision making
* Leading month-end reporting and processes
* Conducting work in progress reviews with all fee earners
* Assisting with payroll
* Review of P11Ds
* Calculating employee bonuses
* People management of direct reports
* Responsible for purchase/nominal ledger
* Producing management and financial accounts
* Producing year-end and statutory accounts
* Producing tax analysis for the year-end accounts
* Assisting with the annual budgetary process
* Preparing the firm for audit and acting as point of contact for auditors
* Understanding WIP, chargeable time, and fee targets
The Successful Applicant
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Understanding of finance regulations and legislation
* Experience of managing a small team
* Experience working within the legal sector desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication skills
