Join Our Team as an ICT Application Support Officer.
We are looking to recruit an ICT Application Support Officer to join the corporate ICT team.
This role will challenge the successful applicant to help in the support and delivery of key systems that help enable the Council services across the Council to deliver the highest possible levels of service to the citizens of Ceredigion. The role will require the applicant to work as part of a team to investigate software issues, upgrade systems and provide support to service areas across the Council. The role will enable you the candidate to gain a wide knowledge of the Council and its functions and to use and enhance their skills to creatively and innovatively enable the organisation to deliver its goals.

Responsibilities:
- work closely with you colleagues in the Application Support Team as well as other teams within the ICT Section and colleagues in other services to develop and support change across the organisation
- monitor reported issues and be involved in delivering and collaborating with ICT projects
- be a great team player and collaborator, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches but also be able to work independently
- investigate and test options for the use of new software to introduce new, more efficient business processes
Requirements:
- degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- in addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language or be able to work towards achieving this. The successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment
