NHS Highland is looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join the eHealth Department to provide leadership to the Hospitals Electronic Patient Record (EPR) powered by TrakCare Programme. This is a major clinical transformational Programme and will change the way that NHS Highland works across all clinical staff and sites.
One of the major components of the EPR will see our clinical teams order and receive laboratory and radiology tests electronically using Order Communications initially in Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban, and Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Implementation throughout all other hospitals will take place over the next few years.
The Programme also includes the replacement of the current Emergency Department system with the new TrakCare ED module initially in five hospitals before implementing throughout our Minor Injuries Units.
The implementation of these solutions will streamline workflows, improve clinical collaboration, and ensure timely and accurate communication of critical patient information helping our staff to make informed decisions.
The post holder will provide advice and expertise to guide the development of the Programme and ensure effective governance. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to provide consistent leadership in a style which engages, enables and empowers others. They will be highly motivated with strong communication skills working with Project Managers within eHealth and the Strategy and Transformation Team and will work closely with the Heads of the relevant clinical services to ensure effective delivery of the Programme.
