We are looking for a Specifications Technologist to join our Quality Team at our Buckingham site.
Your Mission
You will be an integral part of the team that ensures compliance for product safety, legality, and authenticity in the production of Puratos products at all UK sites, ensuring compliance in accordance with UK and Group policies.
This role will focus on the completion and maintenance of all finished product, raw material, and packaging specifications to a standard that complies with all relevant UK/EU legislation. It will involve liaising with R&D, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and raw material and packaging suppliers to ensure specifications are correctly completed in a timely manner.
The role will manage the Supplier Approval process and respond to customer queries relating to ingredients, finished products, and packaging specifications.
What you will do
* Create Draft Specifications & Nutritional Information sheets for Development Products based on information provided by R&D.
* Write finished product specifications on Puratos Ltd template or on customer supplied templates or web-based portals.
* Be the point of contact for all related queries for finished products, raw materials, and packaging specifications from all stakeholders, both internal and external.
* Deal with customer requests for technical information or escalate to other members of the Quality team for completion.
* Arrange the completion of customer self-audit questionnaires (SAQs).
* Assist account managers and commercial team with the completion of technical information and new line forms.
* Manage and maintain the supplier approval process – review as required and ensure all certification/claims and audit documentation is up to date and meets company requirements.
* Manage the Raw Material and Packaging Database. Manage requests and complete the regular assessment of Raw Material specifications.
* Provide all manufacturing sites and customers with product-related legislation (support will always be available from the UK QSHE Manager).
* Support Site Compliance Manager with audit traces, site trace exercises and mock recalls, pre-audit questionnaires and associated information requests.
* Be an active member of the Internal Audit team for the food safety and quality systems.
* Participate in site Continuous Improvement meetings and projects which relate to specifications.
* Maintain the Technical/QA Folder when needed.
