An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse, working on a fixed term contract of up to 9 months to cover maternity leave.
Ludlow Ward is a 16 bedded single side room facility, caring for patients on both NHS and Private pathways. As a team, we are supportive of each other and welcoming of everyone.

Main duties of the job
The post is responsible for providing skilled nursing care within a multidisciplinary environment, to ensure individualised and effective care is practiced. The successful candidate will act as a resource within the speciality of Orthopaedics, empowering junior staff to develop the highest possible level of clinical skills and facilitate communication within all care groups, whilst utilising the wards resources to promote excellence in practice.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse (General) with good communication skills with the ability to assist with change and the drive to improve and develop clinical practice. The successful candidate will also be a motivated, confident individual who shows initiative, is a team player, and is flexible and reliable to meet the demands of the service while demonstrating consistently high standards of work.
Job responsibilities
Under the direction of the Ward/ department manager, the post holder is responsible for providing skilled high quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary environment, to ensure individualised and effective care is practiced.
Contribute to the continuity of good team spirit and high standards of nursing care. Empower junior staff to develop the highest possible level of clinical skills and facilitate communication within all care groups.

Qualifications / Registration
* Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
Experience
* Experience in taking charge of a team/unit
* Specialist experience, knowledge, and skills required for the specialty
* Proven post-registration experience in Orthopaedic/Rheumatology/Oncology nursing
