Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a major North Devon employer with plans to significantly increase their headcount within accountancy and finance over the next 12-24 months. The business has a major stronghold in the services sector and now operates on a national scale. This is a full time, permanent position and the company offers hybrid working which could see the successful candidate completing the majority of the hours on a remote basis.
The company seeks to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk to support their Barnstaple based AR team. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a junior level applicant with baseline accounting experience who seek to develop a long term career in the sector. The positions work within a friendly and highly experienced team that operate in a fast paced environment. Core responsibilities to include:
- Taking lead charge of the company’s accounts receivable function, maintaining the sails ledger inbox and assisting with client enquiries
- Creating and issuing sales invoices using bespoke accounting software
- Allocation of payments
- Processing credit card payments
- All aspects of aged debtor administration to include direct communications with customers with unpaid invoices
For this opportunity we seek an ambitious and confident applicant who possess at least 4-6 months of recently gained experience in a general ledgers position, ideally within a high volume environment. Candidate’s should possess good general MS Office experience to include proficient use of Excel. This is a fast based department that will call for strong multi-tasking and exceptional internal/external communication skills and an excellent attention to detail.
