This role is multi-faceted with responsibility for managing the accurate reconciliation of Insurer accounts in line with Partners& policy and procedures. You will provide financial support to the Finance and Trading Teams to enable them to achieve their objectives, carrying out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial, regulatory, and legal obligations.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for set Insurers and building relationships with them and ensure you receive a monthly statement from them.
* Reconciliation of Insurer statements on Acturis via the automated system or manually ensuring prompt settlement of customer premiums to insurers.
* Focus and investigate on over 60 day+ entries on Acturis and Insurer statements.
* Checking Acturis for entries not on insurer statements, by querying with the Insurer and Client Advisors (CA’s).
* Liaise with CA via the task management system in a timely manner for Insurer queries.
* Reconciliation of Direct to Insurer transactions.
* Reconciliation and payment of outstanding transactions on legacy systems relating to acquisitions for ledgers in run-off after migration to P& platform.
* Run a minimum once a month BACs submissions or raise Insurer payments in the bank manually/automated for authorisation and record payment on the payment out sheet.
* Always send the payment remittance to the insurer and save on the electronic file.
* Review Insurer Ledger to contra matches when making payments.
* Weekly auto-matching transactions and Insurer Ledger, ensuring lapses are de-selected.
* Ensure month end processes on Acturis are actioned
* Manage the Accounts inbox daily, by dealing with email queries or forwarding emails on within the team.
Refunds
* Manage the refund inbox daily and transfer the refund request to the working spreadsheet.
* Review and check refund request on Acturis, to make sure there is no other debt outstanding and returned premium has been received from the Insurer.
* Check original payment via the method it was paid and cross reference with the details given on the refund form.
* Transfer the refund information to the payment report ready for payment.
* Process refund payment in the bank for authorisation and record payment on the payment out sheet.
* Save the refund form and communication in the electronic file on Acturis.
Third Party Confirmation
* Produce monthly report and update weekly.
* Reconcile all Risk Transfer accounts.
* Contact Insurers with a list of clients for confirmation payment has been passed on.
* Update communication from Insurers on the electronic file and reconcile accounts.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or of a related discipline preferrable but not essential.
Experience / skills
* Previous experience within an accounts department required.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards.
* Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to speak to stakeholders at all levels.
