Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm

We are recruiting for an Assembly Wireperson on a permanent basis to join a leading manufacturer who design and manufacture products for the Avionics and Defence industry.
Working out of a purpose-built modern, state-of-the-art facility, you will be part of a hardworking, friendly, and dedicated team working on the fine intricate wiring and assembly of control units of high-value products for various Avionics and Defence Solutions.
Within this role, you will be working from drawings on small units, undertaking the wiring of cables and connectors, soldering, and mechanical assembly. Some of the work will be under microscopic lenses.
Duties will include:
1. Working from drawings and work instructions
2. Undertaking wiring and assembly of small control units
3. Soldering of cables and connectors
4. Working under microscopic lenses
5. Running functional testing
6. Using a computer to do basic product testing and recording results
Excellent attention to detail is paramount for this position.
The successful candidate will possess:
1. Previous wiring, soldering, and assembly skills
2. Ability to read and work from drawings and work instructions
3. Able to work on small items
4. Experience with or ability to work with microscopic lenses
5. Patience and good concentration
