Our Graduate Programme
Our two-year graduate scheme will start your journey to becoming a Chartered Chemical Engineer, give you the opportunity to work with industry-leading teams and equip you with the skills that you need to begin a successful career in design and engineering.
You’ll be part of the team and get involved in a wide variety of projects to develop your experience from the very first day.
Your Key Responsibilities
A Graduate Engineer within our Process team will be responsible for the quality generation and delivery of design documents and drawings to support the process team in key projects.
You’ll gain practical experience in producing calculations, specifications, reports and drawings associated with the design and build of complex process engineering environments, equipment, plant and buildings on some of the largest pharmaceutical, chemical and defence projects in the UK and abroad.
You will develop your skills in a fast paced highly technical environment and hone your engineering career professionally working towards Chartered Engineer status.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for individuals with a passion for Chemical Engineering with a focus on complex process equipment and environments and have or are set to achieve at least a 2:1 in a relevant engineering degree, such as Chemical Engineering, Biochemical or Biotechnology.
You’ll also need to feel confident to challenge the status quo, strive for perfect delivery and possess a willingness to get involved with every opportunity to develop yourself and put our customers first.
Due to the recent changes to salary thresholds set by UKVI, BakerHicks graduate positions do not meet the requirements to support new entrant visa sponsorship. Therefore, all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by various factors. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role as required by our clients and sectors.
