Aftertreatment System Development Engineer Peterborough / Hybrid working - 3 days on-site per week
12 month contract
An exciting opportunity exists within the Component Engineering department to lead design and development of Exhaust System, across new and current products.
Plan and deliver Aftertreatment system/ component development projects to time, cost and quality goals
Assess technical risk through FMEA; Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective
Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability
Communicate project status and key issues to peers, stakeholders and management
Collaborate with suppliers to develop specifications and deliver quality solutions through APQP
Collaborate with global teams to implement engineering solutions at worldwide facilities
Qualifications & Experience Required of the Performance Systems Integration Engineer
~ Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
~4+ years of engineering or relevant experience
~ Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, components and/or systems and component development
~ Self-motivated and able to manage and deliver complex projects to meet commitments
~ Previous knowledge and experience of diesel engine development and new product introduction. Strong analytical skills, and experience of developing components and systems through simulation, rig testing and complete system testing
Competitive Hourly Rate - Umbrella OR PAYE
