Title: Plant Process Reliability Engineer
Location: LE67
Salary: £45-£47 (DOE)
Shift Pattern: Mon-Friday 40hrs
Key Duties:
As a Plant Process Reliability Engineer, you will enhance plant performance by focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP). By using data to identify inefficiencies, you'll prioritize and coordinate improvement projects. Your role is essential in driving sustainability through change management and team engagement while maintaining clear communication about project activities.
You will manage plant improvement projects using LEAN and World Class Manufacturing tools to maximize performance and support key performance indicators (KPIs). This role includes responsibility for SQCDP outcomes, participating in initiatives to promote:
1. 5-S
2. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
3. Quality
4. Process Control
5. Energy Reduction
As the champion of continuous improvement on-site, the Plant Process Reliability Engineer will be involved in:
* Creating site Cost Deployment and prioritizing improvement activity arising from this.
* Clearly communicating Cost Savings from improvement projects.
* Supporting production delivery using focused improvement activities identifying project areas based on plant losses, customer complaints, and process overages.
* Monitoring and controlling the site CI Budget and delivering savings.
* Assisting Operations to make recommendations for future expenditure that will enhance the site performance in health, safety, environment, production output, and energy.
* Completing SQCDP audits of the site to a defined schedule and in line with central SQCDP requirements.
* Providing data for internal and external reporting.
* Liaising with all departmental areas on the site you are supporting.
Key Requirements:
1. IOSH certificate (or equivalent level) in Safety Management; or be on an internal development program to bring them to this level within 12 months of appointment.
2. A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to manage change to deliver sustainable, measurable improvement in all aspects of manufacturing performance.
4. Project planning and project management skills.
5. Knowledge/experience of management accounts and budgetary controls.
6. Degree and/or vocational qualification in Engineering.
