Job Description
As a People Advisor, you will support the People Partner to provide hands-on support and guidance to managers and employees across the organisation. Working closely with the People team, you will ensure effective implementation of HR policies, manage employee relations, and contribute to various people-focused initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive HR professional to make a meaningful impact in a professional services environment.
Employee Relations:
* Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent advice.
* Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes, in line with UK employment law.
Policy Implementation:
* Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, providing guidance to managers and employees.
* Support the development and communication of HR policies that align with business objectives.
Performance Management:
* Assist managers in implementing performance management processes, including appraisals and objective setting.
* Provide coaching and support to line managers to address performance-related matters.
Talent Management:
* Contribute to recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience.
* Support learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement.
HR Administration & Compliance:
* Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee records and ensure compliance with GDPR.
* Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and monitor workforce trends.
Change Management:
* Support organisational change initiatives, such as restructures, policy updates, or cultural transformation.
* Act as a trusted advisor during periods of change, ensuring effective communication and minimal disruption.
Engagement & Wellbeing:
* Champion employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and focus groups.
* Promote wellbeing programs and support the creation of a positive workplace environment.
The Successful Applicant
A successful People Advisor should have:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an HR advisory role, ideally within a professional services environment e.g Finance, Legal, Consultancy.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and its application in the workplace.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
* High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
