CALAT Sessional Lecturer Conditions: Band 1, Pts 3 to 8 - £32.27 to £38.92 (including holiday pay) per hour.
Tutor required to teach employability skills to learners. The tutor will need to have substantial experience in delivering employability skills courses to a range of learners. Some will be professionals who have recently become unemployed and may be having to change their career path. Others may be learners with complex needs who have not been in employment for some time and will require understanding and encouragement to enable them to build self-confidence and resilience.
You will hold suitable subject qualifications, have relevant knowledge and skills, and previous experience of teaching mixed ability adult groups.
As a condition of employment, all applicants should hold a qualification in their subject, as well as a teaching or training qualification: Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent as a minimum. Teachers without relevant teacher training qualifications or qualified teacher status (DTLLS or equivalent) will be required to work towards the relevant qualifications.
Starting pay is £32.27 to £33.60 per hour (including holiday pay), depending on teaching qualification and experience. Tutors holding the equivalent to a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training / Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or above, start at £33.60 (including holiday pay) per hour.
