Purpose of the Position:
The primary objective is to ensure that production of food products are made to the agreed quality and specification complying with business. In addition, key areas of responsibility include assisting the senior management team in smooth running of daily production operations by supporting the team and driving efficiencies, maintaining food safety, quality and legality and H&S standards at all times.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
1. Achieving the daily/weekly food production plan - ensure it is completed in full and in a timely manner.
2. Working to and following the production recipes, weighing systems and procedures ensuring product quality, food safety and legality are maintained.
3. Ensure that all equipment checks are completed and cleaned during and post production; correct care and safe use of all company equipment is adhered to at all times.
4. To ensure cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, observing the “clean as you go policy” to be followed.
5. To ensure the product is correctly labelled and rotated, maintaining first in first out principles.
6. Ensure all production and technical paperwork is thoroughly and accurately completed.
7. Will come into contact with allergens.
8. The operation is carried out in a cold production area in full PPE which will be provided.
9. Have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and adhere to them at all times.
10. Have good powers of concentration and observation even when tasks are repetitive.
11. To work in a team-based environment where all managers/employees work together for the good of the business.
12. Via both formal and informal meetings, ensure that your line managers are kept updated on any opportunities or threats that could impact the business.
13. Ensure that all applicable legislations and standards (H&S, Food Hygiene regulations, BRC, SALSA, etc) are adhered to and that any violations are reported to the business.
14. Maintain and contribute to a working knowledge of policies and regulations.
15. Specific projects or activities as directed by your line manager.
16. Must be able to commit to flexible working 11-12 hour shift patterns and be flexible when the job demands.
17. Holding a Forklift License will warrant a higher rate of pay.

Monday-Friday 11:00am-10:00pm
Salary:
£12.21 per hour with room for quick progression once probation has been passed.
