We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team to bring their experience and expertise to the business to ensure our reputation is maintained.
JOB DESCRIPTION – this is an exciting opportunity to join our company for someone who wants to be part of the team who is self-motivated with sound knowledge of structural steel construction methods and practices, including
decking and installation of pre-cast units and who wants to bring their expertise to the fore:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE
* Oversee and manage projects from contract award to final handover.
* Attend site before commencement to ascertain site conditions, restrictions and Site Managers requirements.
* Producing project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments and issuing prior to commencement.
* Manage and co-ordinate Sub-Contract erection staff for projects within budgets as necessary.
* Visiting site to manage erection teams on first day of project, ensuring that method statements and safety guidance have been understood and the clients requirements are met.
* Attend site meetings as necessary with clients/weekly site meetings to each site with weekly reports of progress.
* Communication with clients as required on a daily basis.
* Defining project requirements and aligning this with programme requirements, with communication of this to the Site Manager and the Adstone management team to ensure deliveries are on time.
* Understanding variations, liaising with the Commercial Department, to be priced, ensuring that day-work sheets are issued to the Sub-contractors to enable payment.
* When visiting sites, ensuring that the Sub-Contract Erection team are completing the documentation in a Safety file that is issued with every project.
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
* CPCS/HNC ACCREDITATION
* Appointed Person (preferred but not prerequisite), training can be arranged, however, a willingness to take up this training is required.
* Produce project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Knowledge and experience of structural steelwork erection, decking and pre-cast units.
* Good communication skills and ability to interpret these between all interested parties.

* Due to the nature of the job, the candidate will be self-managing their time with site visits necessary travel time etc., therefore, working from home is acceptable in between, with one day in the office a week for Management meetings bringing the team up to date and planning upcoming requirements.
