We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The successful candidate will be supporting a schools in Harrogate as a specialist TA and covering lessons when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the educational and social development of pupils with SEN.
* Deliver structured interventions and support programs.
* Work alongside teachers to plan and prepare differentiated learning materials.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO.
* Support students with their personal care and mobility needs, if necessary.
* Facilitate small group and one-to-one sessions to support learning and development.
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external agencies as required.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN practices, strategies, and legislation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.

Desirable:
* Experience with specific SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.
* Training in particular intervention programs or strategies.
