We are looking for a Data Analyst/ PowerBI with strong Excel experience to join the supply chain department of a company that supplies thousands of environmental improvement products to retail and professional markets globally. With 17 sites employing over 700 staff, this developing company offers excellent prospects and working conditions. Up to £40K, great benefits, permanent, hybrid working options. The Group systems department works with all other functions to support effective and efficient operations via the provision and maintenance of useful systems and reporting. This role involves leveraging Power BI and other data analysis tools to extract actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making within the organisation. Focusing on the supply chain, the successful candidate will extract large, complex datasets from multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and flat files, transform and load relevant and accurate data using Power BI and Excel. Insights into spending, supplier performance, and operational performance, as well as inventory management, will be provided. A key element of this role will also include support in developing the data lake and warehouse, providing details of backend tables and columns, SQL queries, required transformation, and using business intelligence tools to apply the necessary aggregations/formulas to the reporting layer. Knowledge and understanding of commercial master data and procurement documentation in an ERP environment, i.e., product and supplier master data, purchase order, goods receipt, purchase invoice, and payment, are crucial for this role. Data Analyst person requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Computer Science is preferred or a related field. Strong proficiency in data preparation and data visualisation. Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Required experience: ERP systems, e.g., D365, SAP ECC, and SAP Business One. Excellent Power BI and Excel skills. Desired experience: Qlikview, ThoughtSpot and other business intelligence software. SQL queries. Amazon Redshift data warehouse. Experience with commercial document data, eg, sales orders / purchase orders, deliveries and goods receipts and invoices.
