We are currently looking for Logistics & Store Operators for an exciting opportunity to join an automotive and manufacturing operation based in Surrey.
Logistics & Store Operators are responsible for internal logistics and store management on a daily basis to produce high-quality vehicles across all models undertaken by the company. In this role, you will become part of the team to ramp up assembly production at a low-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation and help them start up the brand-new manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities:
1. Establishing strong team member relations, at all levels with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
2. Regular and accurate stock counts including any required adjustments on Stock Management system
3. Accurate booking and management of components in the stores using Stock Management system
4. Picking and booking of stock parts to support production and customer service part requirements
5. Goods inwards receipt and accurate booking in of deliveries/stocks to the facility when required
6. Regular management of transit stock shelf
7. Picking, preparation and packaging of service components for international air or sea shipment
8. Housekeeping of the stores area to maintain a clean environment
9. Be available to work OT, shutdowns and travel as needed
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Experience in manufacturing/engineering stores environment
2. Some computer literacy required for stock booking transactions - Basics in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
3. Experience in low volume automotive manufacturing preferable
4. Understanding of the different assembly processes and equipment
5. Works well under pressure, works hard to meet strict production targets
6. Proficiency in cross-functional, cross-company, and cross-sectional processes
7. Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients
