So, what will I be doing?
This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in IT, especially if you've had a job working in IT support or if you have been recently studying IT. You will be part of an enthusiastic IT team of 18 employees covering the areas of Applications, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cybersecurity, and BI. Yeo Valley is committed to making great British dairy the right way, forever, and is passionate about feeding the nation with real, healthy organic food that doesn’t impact our planet.
Your responsibilities:
* Providing responsive, reactive, and timely technical support to the business.
* Applying and developing technical knowledge on issues relating to laptops, scanners, printers, tablets, networks, and all other IT equipment.
* Technical problem solving on all incoming issues, investigating, analyzing, and working with end users to create, test, and implement solutions.
* Managing, prioritizing, and solving support tickets and calls throughout their lifecycle.
* Project management with new business requirements involving handling, planning, and delivering.
* Site visits and onsite support across all Yeo Valley sites.
* Carrying out preventative maintenance checks to ensure the high availability and reliability of IT systems.
* Administering Active Directory, Office 365, Teams Voice & Exchange.
* Checking and testing critical weekly and monthly backups and backup procedures.
* Providing Critical Business out-of-hours support on a rotating basis.
* Maintaining confidentiality of Yeo Valley intellectual property.
* Creating, reviewing, and updating department documentation, policies, and procedures.
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
The important things:
* IT competent with good experience of Microsoft Systems such as Windows and Office.
* Experience fixing IT hardware issues on laptops, printers, scanners, and phones.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Full driving license.
Even better if you have:
* Technical qualifications and further education.
* Experience working within a technical support environment.
* Experience administrating Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange email.
