PLANT MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER - CENTRAL WALES - PERMANENT - £39,000 - £44,000 + BONUS (up to £10k)
ARM are working with a well-known building materials company who have a global reach. We are currently recruiting for a Plant Maintenance Manager to join their team based in the Central Wales area on a permanent basis.
About You:
1. You will be an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional.
2. Your experience will include Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems within a plant or manufacturing environment.
3. You will need to drive and have access to your own vehicle for this role.
4. You will have or be looking for a position within a management role.
5. You will have a positive, can-do attitude and will be unphased with challenges that may occur, demonstrating steadfastness and interest in doing a good job in the right manner.
6. Ideally your experience will come from a heavy plant, quarry or similar, but this is not essential.
What you will be doing:
This position will be an onsite role working both inside and outside to keep the plant operational. You will lead a small team of fitters and collaborate with contractors onsite. This key role ensures the success of the plant by maintaining proactive plans for maintenance and reacting to breakdowns. The plant operates 7 days a week, and the team provides coverage day and night. You will also be responsible for overseeing team coverage, budgetary responsibilities, and H&S/legal compliance.
This position is based in Central Wales. Commutable towns include Hereford, Worcester, Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye, Newtown, and Presteigne. It is a full-time position working typically Monday to Friday (48 hours per week contracted) with some flexibility in working arrangements.
What you can expect in return:
The salary for this position ranges from £39,000 - £44,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role. There may be scope to exceed this for an exceptional candidate. A bonus scheme is in operation, accounting for up to £10,000 per year, paid weekly. The company also offers an additional bonus scheme, roughly 2% of salary annually, along with a generous pension scheme and holiday allowances. There is a real chance of progression within the organization.
