An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the experienced and friendly Acute Oncology team on Ward 303 at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Ward 303 comprises of 32 beds. We receive patients from Combined Triage Assessment Unit, Emergency department, Medical Assessment Unit and specialist's clinics.
Applicants will need to be compassionate, caring, dynamic, motivated, reliable, and flexible, preferably with some experience of oncology but this is not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are key, as is a commitment to delivering quality care to our patients.
We have our own clinical educators in CDCS who provide an excellent ongoing training package for all further development needs with the specialist area of oncology.

Main duties of the job
* The successful applicant will be working both as part of a friendly nursing team, assessing, planning, and implementing high-quality nursing care to acutely unwell adults suffering from cancer. Applicants will work 12.5 hour shifts and rotate on days and nights. Weekends and bank holidays are also included.
