THALES are looking to recruit a passionate and organised Sales Order Coordinator (12 month FTC) to act as the primary contact to the customer providing a variety of direct services throughout the new build/ spares/repair cycle such as direct contact with the Customer (internal or external) through onsite & offsite meetings.
Based in Cheadle (Stockport) for our Front Office and Digital Services Division .
This team is customer centric, driven by supporting and working together to ensure you meet your goals and achieve the best outcome for the customer. Your role will be to support the achievement of business unit financial and strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with ethical and contractual undertakings and ensuring the commercial integrity of the commitments being made on behalf of the company.

What will you deliver?
8. To process all enquiries received by the Service Management Office as appropriate
9. Manage effective proactive and reactive communications both externally with Customers and internally across all areas of the organisation.
10. Liaise across the business to resolve Customer enquiries of varying levels of complexity.
11. Ensure reporting systems/tools are kept up to date and status movements are accurate.
12. Ensure that Customer agreements are fully understood by all areas in the respective process, and that the latest revision copy of the customer contract, where appropriate, is available electronically
13. Maintain high levels of awareness and control on all aspects of Customer new build, spare and repair programs, including status and priorities, forecasting, and delay issues through continuous review and reporting of order books. Where blockers in the process exist, minimise impact of such blockages by anticipating problems and planning contingencies.
14. Develop relationships with internal and external customers to ensure levels of service are to a high standard. Work as part of the larger team to manage the priorities of each customer.
15. Accurate data capture for all release, shipping and despatch documents as required to ensure on-time shipment to Customers and compliance to Government trade regulations.
16. Release of repairs, spares and manufactured items via the appropriate business system and ensure all transactions completed accurately.
17. Promote continued improvements through LEAN processes.
Who are we looking for?
18. Experience of managing Customers in a diverse international market
19. Oracle experience (or equivalent ERP system)
20. Ideally experience of manufacturing and MRP processes in a technology industry
21. Understanding of Shipping/Export and Logistics desirable but not essential
22. Understanding of the Purchasing/Supply chain/outsourced repairs
23. Experience of spares or repairs in an aerospace or technology environment
24. Commercial experience/awareness
25. Excellent communication skills. The individual should be able to communicate well at most levels and be able to approach and work with colleagues for a common objective
26. Good numeracy skills, including the ability to pull together data from various sources and to prepare and present such data on Excel spread-sheets
27. Attention to detail and ability to ensure all work is carried out accurately and conscientiously.
28. Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively
29. Shows Initiative.
30. Ability to plan logically and pro-actively manage the role
