Description & Background:
The client is delivering the M&E fit-out of the Operations Service Centre (OSC) at Hinkley Point C. This impressive nine-storey building will house all support functions required to operate the power station, including offices, medical centre, data centre, warehouse, workshops, labs, and canteen facilities. The building will accommodate 350 workers once operational and provide access control to the Nuclear and Conventional Islands. We're seeking a QA Advisor with experience in mechanical systems and building structures to support quality assurance activities.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Provide quality assurance oversight for both mechanical installations and civil/building construction activities.
* Conduct audits, inspections, and surveillance of materials, fabrication, and construction works to ensure compliance with project standards.
* Ensure adherence to nuclear safety, ISO 9001, RCC-M, ASME, and UK building regulations.
* Investigate and manage non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Support contractors and suppliers in meeting QA/QC requirements and best practices.
* Maintain accurate quality records and reports for internal and regulatory stakeholders.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, and procurement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience delivering large highly regulated projects (MEP value £15m - 100m+)
* Nuclear/Regulated Environment experience advantageous
* Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale regulated projects
* Strong background in Quality Assurance and adhering to Nuclear quality standards
