Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PRJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: £40000 - £50000 per annum + Holiday, pension, life insuranceTrials, Experiments & Technology (Development) EC&I Engineer AWE currently have a great opportunity for an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to work within the Orion Laser Facility, our twelve-beam laser facility delivering high-energy plasma-physics experiments. To successfully operate the facility our engineer\\s design and maintain a variety of bespoke systems, in vacuum and free space, to the tolerances required. Location - RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Package: £39,280 - £50,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Let us introduce the role This role is ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys hands-on work and has an interest in proactive maintenance, reactive repairs, and forward-looking upgrades. Working with one of the biggest lasers in the world, the successful candidate will also be involved in design work and collaborate with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders delivering engineering solutions that meet safety and performance requirements.
