Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team at Kings College Hospital as a Senior Pharmacy Technician. The post holder will work with the Clinical Trial pharmacy team to undertake the set-up, training of staff, dispensing & checking and smooth running of all clinical trials, across the Trust. Your role is to be a key participant in the Pharmacy trial set-up and maintenance processes in line with national and organisational targets. You will also be responsible for writing robust Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring we provide our local and wider community exceptional care. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures specific to Clinical Trials that will have an impact within the pharmacy department To contribute to wider policies that have an impact within the pharmacy department and across the Trust To assist in the regular review and update of Clinical Trial policies and procedures as agreed with the Principal Technician, Clinical Trials. To propose changes to working practices and dispensing techniques that will maximise the potential for efficiency and safety. Act as a role model in the field of clinical trials and provide a consistently high level of pharmaceutical service in line with corporate objectives and initiatives. To assist in the training and supervision of staff working in Clinical Trials as part of their induction.
