Head of Science
Teaching Personnel's PWR team are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Science to lead a successful Science department in a secondary school in Islington, North London. This is a full-time role starting in September 2024, and will involve leading and managing a team of science teachers, as well as teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading and managing a Science department, and will be able to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
The school is a high-achieving, mixed comprehensive school with a strong commitment to providing a high-quality education for all its students. The Science department is well-resourced and has a supportive and collaborative team of teachers. The school is located in a diverse and vibrant area of Islington, with good transport links.
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience of leading and managing a Science department
* Be passionate about Science and have a desire to inspire and motivate students and staff
* Be a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
