Carrington West are assisting a local authority client based in the South in the search for a Landscape Architect to support the councils Planning Department on an contract of up to 12 months
JD available upon request outlining the scope of work.
We are looking to assist an LPA and to look for candidates at varying degrees of experience to review landscape proposals for planning and discharge of condition applications.
Objectives of the role:
· To ensure that planning applications are assessed consistently with regard to their landscaping impacts.
· To promote high-quality landscaping that enhances the local environment.
· To ensure compliance with the NPPF and the Local Development Plan.
· To provide consistent professional advice, that can be relied upon in Appeal if needed.
To apply for this role, it is essential that you have worked in a similar position whilst at a local authority planning department. It would be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree, and be a chartered Landscape Architect or currently working towards chartered status.
The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running and are offering flexible hybrid working arrangements with preferably a weekly/fortnightly presence.
Pay Rate - Flexible at this stage dependent on experience.
