Paediatric Diabetes Team Admin Support Officer - West Area
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide administrative support within the Paediatric Diabetes team in the west area.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidate should also have excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package. The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of duties within the role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the other team members and support the Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses and clinicians to provide the Paediatric Diabetes Service.
This is a varied role where the post holder will be expected to support the Paediatric Diabetes team’s day to day administrative activities which will include arranging outpatients appointments, processing outcomes, raising requisition orders for CGM consumables for individual patients, dealing with day to day queries, organise education days and provide timely specific data reports. The applicant is expected to have confident and competent computer skills become skilled with a variety of IT systems required and used by the service. The ability to work well both independently and as a member of the team is essential and candidates will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills when managing an office.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills to deal with queries from patients, families and a variety of professionals from within the Acute Paediatrics service. Previous experience of working in the NHS and in the use of patient administration systems would be advantageous.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
