HMP Grampian is the only such facility in the northeast of the country. The establishment has 6 residential housing blocks. Housing male offenders; Banff Hall houses female offenders. Aberlour Unit houses prisoners who have community access. We are in midst of rebuilding a robust Prison Nursing Team where there will be opportunities be a part of developing a strong nursing service within the ever-changing prison environment. As a substance use nurse you will join a service that is continually developing to meet the needs of our client group. You will have experience of team working, problem solving, flexibility, continuing professional development and change management. You will have day to day responsibility of managing your workload and a commitment to partnership working with a range of stakeholders. The prison environment is extremely busy and both emotionally and physically demanding. This post requires someone who can cope with these demands. The post is shift based working 12 hours 0600-1830, 0945-2130 shifts Monday to Sunday. There is no night shift. An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
